Guided one-on-one by our expert glass artist, you will learn the fundamental skills that have been passed down through generations. Feel the warmth of the furnace as you are introduced to the specialized tools and equipment of the craft, preparing you for a truly hands-on creative journey. This is your chance to connect with an age-old art form and understand the delicate process of shaping glass. Your adventure begins with a personal design consultation where you will bring your vision to life. Choose from six classic paperweight designs and a stunning palette of seventeen colours, selecting up to three hues to create a combination that is uniquely yours. Then, for twenty minutes, you will be at the artist's bench, using traditional tools to sculpt and manipulate the glowing glass into your custom creation. This foundational exercise is the first step every glass artist takes, offering a deep appreciation for the material. After its fiery birth, your masterpiece will need to cool slowly. Your one-of-a-kind paperweight will be ready to collect the following day, a beautiful and lasting reminder of your time in our destination studio.
