A magical holiday experience 🌟We decided to visit the Wonderlights at Marlay Part this year since we skipped it last year. The whole experience was very enjoyable and fun. As we do a lot of activities over the holidays we visit quite a few of different activities and I can definitely recommend The Wonderlights at Marley Park. Parking: Ample parking spaces and the personnel does check if it’s your time slot. The walk: The walk from the College road parking was nicely illuminated all the way to the entrance and was a nice stretch for the legs. The Wonderlights: My point of view was that a lot of thought was put into the lights and the whole experience was nicely designed and set up. From sparkling animal shapes, color-changing portals, to shimmering bright stars projected on the footpaths, we found the experience very enjoyable. Food stands: A little overpriced for the quality of what you get. We had one chicken burger with little fries, garlic and cheese fries and a Coke for 25€. Overall, still a great experience with the family and I’d definitely recommend the Wonderlights at Marley Park
Went to Wonderlights Marley park this evening with my partner and 3children. We went last year and we had a great time,so this year kids were excited and looking forward to it.When we arrived there was a food court(where the Marley weekend Markets take place) there did seem like there was more stalls this year,there was also noticeabley more carnival rides than last year as well as the large Ferris wheel.The carnival was done by tokens which were €1 per token but the rides that the kids went on were minimum of 5 tokens each🙄 then all the food vendors and hot chocolate prices have increased since last year.Chips and chicken tenders at one stall was €16each,one stand had a paper cup with strawberries and a drizzle of hot sauce €10each,Irish coffee €8 then there is all the kids add on's hot chocolate/sweets/donuts etc I mean a small fortune for family of 5😳 The lights itself is done around in a trial, one section in the middle is done with disco lights and the lights are flashing and moving on the ground they didn't have that last year and my son with Autism didnt like it. When we booked and paid for our tickets we were automatically giving an assigned car park which was "college road" so that is located at the back entrance of Marley.Was not happy with this as one of my children is 2years old and the other is autistic.Emailed the company about switching car park to the front car park but they didn't even bother replying.The walk to the lights with the kids from the car took 25mins doesn't sound a lot but when it's 5 degrees out it's a pain in the arse🥶 So my advise before you buy the tickets which are very expensive is to save the money and go elsewhere.Honestly your not missing anything.Ireland needs to do more indoor events at this time of year it was bitter cold.Could not wait to get home.
