Participants can select from a variety of organic fabrics and colors during the class. The workshop introduces the De Steek zero-waste Tied Top pattern, offering a creative and sustainable approach to garment making.
The lesson is suitable for all skill levels and provides hands-on experience with both the sewing machine and serger. Participants learn essential techniques including cutting fabric, basic stitching, assembling, and working with stretchy materials. The pattern is designed to use the full width of the fabric with minimal waste and is one-size, fitting sizes S to L.
Instruction is delivered in both Dutch and English, ensuring that all participants can comfortably follow along. If extra time is needed, learners may extend their class or schedule a follow-up session. A digital version of the pattern is also provided after the lesson for continued practice at home.
By the end of the session, participants leave with a finished Tied Top and improved confidence in their sewing abilities. Guests are advised to cancel at least one day in advance if unable to attend, as late cancellations will result in the loss of the booking.
