This course is designed for beginners who have never climbed before or have little to no experience with ice climbing. Participants will learn the fundamentals of using crampons and ice tools under the guidance of an AMGA certified instructor. The session begins with a meeting at the picnic table at the Pumphouse Wall, where the guide will cover basic crampon techniques and safety tips to ensure everyone is prepared for the ice climbing experience.
All necessary climbing gear is provided for participants, making it easy to focus entirely on learning and practicing the skills. For those who prefer, additional rentals are available through San Juan Sodas.
