I have a lot of mixed emotions about this resort. I am genuinely disappointed, such a beautiful country and resort gone to waste with terrible staff when it came to room concerns. Out of a 4 day stay, 1 of those days we were treated with respect and our concerns were met. Day 2 some coffee was spilt and the bed sheets were never cleaned. ANTS!!!!!!!!!!! were all over the refrigerator and TV stand and no one ever cleaned it. Day 3 we arrived back to the room at 5pm after a beach day, and room service never came to clean the room. Everyday the front desk was called for a valid concern, workers would come to the room at 11pm or 5am when we are sleeping to discuss the concerns and there was never a resolution. DIRTY TOWELS. We were promised that the room service fee would be removed due to these issues. When it came time to check out, we spoke to the manager and was met with a nasty and unprofessional employee and refused to help us. The customer service was genuinely unacceptable.

Room was fine, but I don't think the rooms have heat. With the Gale warning and rain this week, it was too cold to not have some heat source. Prices on everything including the required resort fees are so outrageous they're punitive. Best food was at Carna but I'm sure it too was overpriced. $7 for a can of soda at Cinko? Again, punitive. Check-in was easy and Ebony was very helpful. Check-out not so much. Checked out on the TV but then had to go stand in line with 30 other people to get a copy of my receipt. You can't automatically send me a receipt when I check out? And don't claim, as the rude guy at the desk did, that you didn't have my email address on file when you've sent me emails as recently as last week.

Beautiful hotel, but very pricey for the food and amenities. I’m not entirely sure if the resort fees are worth it. They stated they offered kayak rentals, but every day they were closed and cited wind or weather but the weather was fine. If you like gambling and drinking you probably would have a good time. The reason for 3 stars is that for a resort, I was expecting quality service. The staff, by and large, were incredibly rude and flippant across the board. Each staff member seemed like they were bothered by guests presence. I suspect they are underpaid and sick of tourists, but it felt really crummy to be on the receiving end. Most people I talked to felt the same way. For that reason alone, I don’t think I’d return. I will say, we had ONE great bartender (Michael at Lynden). The rooms were decent, but my fridge smelled rancid like someone let food go rotten in it and they never cleaned it. Each day my room was cleaned, the staff either forgot to put coffee pods back, or didn’t leave me any creamers. A couple times, I tried using the app to place orders via housekeeping but they never showed up. Anyway, solid 3/5 resort.
