Fantastic Level 2 Kayaking Course with Keith! Keith was amazing — patient, knowledgeable, and knew exactly when to push us (and when not to!). We (Carmel and Sarah) were the two oldest in the group, with one of us new to kayaking, but he made it fun, supportive, and full of laughs. The group was an added bonus — we’re now all on WhatsApp calling ourselves The Liffey Lickers! Can’t wait for our next river trip with Keith to build on everything we learned.

As a complete beginner and new to water sports, I recently completed a six-week Introduction to Kayaking course at the Canoe Centre, and it was an amazing experience. From the very start, the centre felt welcoming and safe, which helped ease any nerves I had. The instructor, Keith, was knowledgeable, patient and supportive, always explaining and demonstrating techniques clearly and encouraging everyone along the way. The course was both fun and enjoyable, with each kayaking session building on the last, covering a wide range of activities—from basic paddling techniques and boat control to safety skills and how to handle different water conditions. I especially appreciated the chance to learn alongside my peers—watching, participating and paddling with others helped me improve and made the sessions more engaging. The facilities were excellent - clean and well-equipped - which added to the positive experience. Overall, this course was a fantastic introduction to kayaking. I would highly recommend the Canoe Centre to anyone, especially beginners, looking for expert guidance, a friendly, safe place to learn and an enjoyable way to get started with water sports.
