The Introductory Dive is a perfect way to experience the excitement of SCUBA diving without committing to a full Open Water Course. The experience begins with a short DVD and review session where your instructor introduces you to the basics of SCUBA equipment and diving safety. You will then move to the shallow waters of the lagoon, where you can stand comfortably while learning to breathe underwater. During this session, you will practice four essential dive skills under the close guidance of your instructor, gaining confidence and comfort in the water. After mastering these skills, you will enjoy your first guided dive to a maximum depth of twelve metres, exploring the underwater environment safely and confidently. This experience is ideal for beginners and provides a strong foundation for progressing to the Open Water Course if desired.
Upon completion, you will receive a Certificate of Recognition, and the cost of this introductory dive can be credited towards an Open Water Course if you choose to upgrade. The minimum age for participation is ten years. A medical questionnaire must be completed on the day, and certain conditions such as asthma, ear or lung issues, heart conditions, or recent surgeries may require medical clearance prior to diving. Participants should also avoid alcohol and certain medications before the dive to ensure safety.
