Advanced Open Water Course

The Advanced Open Water Course is designed to enhance your underwater skills and knowledge while allowing you to explore more challenging dive environments. The course consists of five adventure dives, including deep, drift, underwater navigation, underwater naturalist, and peak performance buoyancy. Each dive is supported by knowledge reviews to ensure you understand key concepts and techniques. On Day 1, participants complete dives 1 and 2, including the deep dive when conditions allow. Day 2 consists of dives 3 and 4, and the underwater navigation component takes approximately one and a half hours, which can be completed in the afternoon of Day 2 or on a separate day. The course is structured to provide flexibility in scheduling while ensuring all essential skills are thoroughly covered.

This course is suitable for divers who hold an Open Water Diver Certificate and have completed the required eLearning prior to arrival. It provides a combination of guided instruction, practical skills, and knowledge development in small groups to maximise learning and safety. Participants will gain confidence in navigating, managing buoyancy, and handling different underwater conditions. The course enhances your ability to dive independently with peers, preparing you for a variety of dive experiences around Lord Howe Island and beyond.
