Went in for lunch yesterday. We had to wait a bit to get a table, which was to be expected as it was quite busy. When we were finally seated, it took the waiters at least 15 minutes to take our orders. Our food arrived promptly after we ordered, however before our drinks had made it to the table. The tap water we had asked for and another drink we ordered was never brought out to us and no one stopped by the table to make sure everything was going okay. The food itself tasted good, although the portions were a little small for the price. When we wanted to pay it took us another 20 minutes to get someone’s attention to get the bill. I eventually had to just get up to ask the host for the bill not once but twice after waiting another almost 10 minutes after the first time asking. When the bill arrived, it included the drink item we had ordered but that was never brought out to us. After we made them aware that the item was included on the bill, they immediately removed it. Overall, the food was good, the ambiance was nice, but service was slow and lacking in urgency, while the staff remained friendly.

I decided to give Airfield another go as I hadn’t been following a disappointing breakfast several years ago. We were greeted with a smile and given menus. It was 11am on a Sunday morning and we were given a lunch menu not a breakfast one. We specifically ordered milk on the side of our iced coffees and only one coffee arrived with the milk already poured. We were not given any cutlery and when we went up and got our own there were no forks. Two of the items we requested were not available. My husband ordered the sandwich Special and there was a long hair in it. The mezze bowl was very oily and the extra bread I ordered came 10 minutes after I had finished. A very disappointing visit and unfortunately I won’t be back.

Personally I find that the quality of the food here is excellent being fresh and tasty. Yes it's a little bit pricier than other restaurants but worth it in my opinion for the quality. The kids meal was sausage and chips which normally I'd abhor but was excellent quality and everything was eaten so no waste. It was only a little bit more expensive than other bad quality kiddie meals elsewhere. They've introduced service now which is great especially if you've kids with you. They still seem to be ironing out the kinks but so much better than before. I'd recommend that you try it.

Fresh quality food serviced promptly with a smile. Lovely outside area which is tranquil Would recommend

Went fro Brunch. The pastrami toasted sandwich came salad - very hearty portion. Ham and cheese croquettes came with chips and salad. Even shared between two my daughter and I couldn't finish off both meals. Fast service, child friendly environment.
