Absolutely stunning spot! The Bimmah Sinkhole is a natural wonder — crystal-clear turquoise water surrounded by rugged rock formations. The place is clean, well-maintained, and easy to access thanks to the staircase that leads right down to the water. Perfect for a quick swim or just to relax and enjoy the view. There are shaded areas, picnic spots, and restrooms nearby, which make it great for families too. Try to visit early morning or late afternoon when it’s cooler and less crowded. Definitely one of the must-see attractions along the Muscat–Sur coastal route!

Beautiful and unusual place. Entry to the area is free, and there’s a big parking lot. There are toilets, but no changing rooms or fresh water showers. You go down to the water by stairs. The water is salty and very warm (early November). If you stand near the shore, small fish start nibbling on the dead skin on your feet — a natural fish-spa foot massage. It wasn’t crowded on a weekday, but that probably depends on your luck.

The Bimmah Sinkhole, also known as Hawiyat Najm Park, is a large, natural limestone sinkhole in Oman filled with a clear turquoise water pool accessible by stair. The water is a mix of freshwater from mountains and saltwater from the sea, making it a bit salty. Local legend attributes its creation to a meteorite impact. It is about a 1.5-hour drive from Muscat. Visitors can swim in the refreshing water, and capture moments. There are no lifeguards and you swim at your own risk. For changing swimwear, there are Hawiyat Najm Park bathrooms just to the left inside the entrance. If you are willing to swim there, carry water, snacks, towel, sunscreen and water shoes etc. In the park there are Gazebos, swings and picnic benches for all ages. The park and sinkhole are free to visit. Opening hours are from 8 am to 8 pm daily. Oman's most unique swimming holes make it a must-see !!!

Great place for a swim! We came here end of October and it was really hot weather but not too crowded. The place is well maintained and very clean. This is free to visit and parking, so absolutely a must visit place!

Nice place to visit. The water is extremely clear and the scenery here is amazingly beautiful. Separate play area for kids as well and plenty of car parking available. Make sure you carry snacks and water as there are no shops to purchase inside.
