Rough and long drive but worth it. Great scenery, wonderful pools.

It's a pretty place no doubt but....the road to there is very narraow (it's a one lane road used by locals often, especially at school drop/pick up times),curvy and steep with very few parking once you arrive.Went on a thursday...on weekends nowadays there must be even more traffic. The road is a 4x4 one and despite asphalted it's only for drivers with good nerves and skills. I would suggest to take a paid ride with a local. The waterfall is pretty but tricky for children under 9/10 years. You have to be very careful at the steep stairs and at the end how to enter the wadi. Not hasslefree. Several places to fall. The easiest way is through the left and through a deep pool. (Life vest!).There is a very small area where to leave your bags at sight (if you stay at the waterfall),so dont bring valuables. Lots of areas with wasps. My 4th time there/1st time after the stairs have been done/1st time with a child. With a young child it is not relaxed. To do the canyon water trekk: very pretty yes..but, there is a string to descend down into the wadi. Not adapt for kids under 9/10 years (and shld be sporty)

A fantastic drive from the end of the bottom of Wadi Tiwi up down and around the concrete but often single track road through villages perched on the side of the steep sides of the wadi gorge. Then 300 steps down to the first rock pool below the waterfall for a swim. There is opportunity to scrabble down the slippyish rocks to the pools and caves that flow down the wadi. Surrounded lush greenery above you and the village of Mibram the whole experience is well well worthwhile. We went around 830 in the morning taking 30 minutes from Tiwi village. We mostly avoided any vehicles going in but even 40 minutes or so later there were several coming up as we returned. Fantastic - be careful during the drive and on the rocks - enjoy We visited early November

A perfect blend of canyoning and cultural exploration. In Wadi Mibam, you’ll step into authentic Omani mountain life - walking through charming villages, ancient farms, and traditional falaj irrigation channels. The trail leads into a breathtaking canyon filled with crystal-clear pools, lush palm groves, and a 25-meter waterfall, where you’ll have the option to abseil down into the turquoise waters below. An unforgettable mix of adventure, nature, and local culture - all in one journey.

Driving experience to the location and the trekking to the waterfalls are amazing . Loves this place and highly recommend
