Mostly ceramics and jewelry stalls here, don’t expect any street food, but it’s perfect for a slow stroll and some local craft vibes. Check this beautiful ceramics flower stall, they're adorable. I also found kain Bali (Balinese linen), which they named them here batik rayon. I believe they're authentic, comes from Bali. In Indonesia, we usually use this fabric for sunbathing or as comfortable home wear. Highly recommended to buy for manifesting your next trip to Bali.

Too crowded to enjoy the visit, it's a struggle to move around. There are the same fruit and vegetable, sausages and olives as on every market (for example cala rajada) and in shops across the island. The rest are the always same necklaces, t-shirts, fridge magnets, and other stuff from temu as everywhere.

Mercadillo de Santanyí is absolutely adorable, but be prepared for CROWDS. Like, barely-can-walk level crowds. It’s a full-on squeeze-fest, especially in the narrow streets, so just brace yourself. To be honest, most of the stalls sell pretty much the same things you see at every market in Spain.. It’s definitely blown up thanks to TikTok, but yeah… it is cute. We ended up buying these classic Spanish beach blankets from this one lovely señora for just 10 euros, which was actually an amazing deal and they were beautiful. But don’t expect to bargain, these people do NOT negotiate. As Balkans, we live for a little price haggling, so that was a bit of a culture shock. 😅 Still, it was a cool experience overall. Not sure I’d do it again because of the intense crowds, but I’m glad we went. The vibe is sweet, the colors are lovely, and if you’re into local markets (and can survive slow-motion walking), you’ll probably love it.

Great market, but be prepared to make your way through the crowds flooding the little cobblestone streets! Try and find parking at the town outskirts and walk there, as they close down most roads while the market is on!

One of the best markets I’ve been to abroad, with a beautiful selection of foods, art, clothing, accessories and more in the charming town of Santanyi. Highly recommend arriving as soon as it opens (9am) to avoid large crowds, as it starts getting very busy around 11am. Great atmosphere, a fabulous start to the day, great to spend the afternoon at Santanyi beach!!
