Highly recommend this company! We used Meet the Local in 2 different countries this month - in Florence for a custom tour for our extended family and in again in Paris for a private tour for 3. Both were outstanding in every way. The booking process was easy, even for the custom tour - Dominique was super responsive and helpful. Our Florence guide Paola was extraordinary, especially with the kids (ages ranged from 4-12). She kept everyone interested and excited and made it such a memorable morning! Custom scavenger hunts for different ages were a big hit! Our Paris guide Nathalie was so amazing we would have hung out with her all day if she let us ;-) She gave us the most exquisite tour of the Marais area visiting patisseries, chocolatiers and other tasty surprises, telling us stories about Paris and more along the way. We loved every minute of our time with her (my husband, myself and our 12 yr old daughter) Would definitely use them again in the future!

Sebastian did a fantastic job with our tour. He came prepared with a fun scavenger hunt/ mystery activity for the kids that led us through the major pieces of work in the Louvre. At each piece of work, Sebastian regaled us with interesting details and history about the art. When we stopped to look at something not on the itinerary, Sebastian knew about that, too! He was a font of knowledge, and our kids loved the fun format. Visiting the Louvre without a guide would have felt overwhelming- with Sebastian, we made the most of our experience.

Our family had a fantastic time in London! Everything worked out even better than I had hoped, and I am so thankful for Dominique's help coordinating our dream trip. Dominque was delightful to work with in planning our custom itinerary. She listened to my ideas and suggested some wonderful options that worked out brilliantly for us. Everything was organized and planned to perfection (my type-A personality was quite pleased!). Our guides in London were absolutely fabulous. We loved Catherine and Stephen -- they were perfect for our family tours. They both connected well with our boys and made them excited to learn all the history. At the end of every day, the boys would declare it "the best day ever!" and then make the same pronouncement the following day. They loved every place we went and everything we saw because Catherine and Stephen made the stories come alive for them and were wonderful at engaging them along the way. Also, we were so grateful to have the amazing Paul with us as our driver for the entire trip. He made all of our transportation so easy, effortless, and fun. Paul was also a big part of our experience along with the guides, and now that we are back home, we miss him already. We definitely feel like we got the best of the best!! I highly recommend using Meet the Locals for your family vacation -- we will use them again whenever we are able to return to Europe (hopefully soon!)!
