Appalachian Downhill Bike Adventure Offers Five Hours of Mountain Thrills
Cycling enthusiasts can take on the Appalachian forest with a five-hour downhill mountain biking adventure across 15 trails of varying difficulty. Riders can enjoy scenic mountain views while tackling winding paths, sharp turns, bumps, and jumps from the top of the hill back to the Adventure Station.
For this rental level, guests can ride the Giant Stance 2, a full-suspension mountain bike available for $55, with S, M, and L sizes offered in limited quantities. Riders can reach the trail hubs by pedaling the 1.1-mile Grindstone uphill trail or choosing a Holler Hauler UTV ride to the mountain top. Guests choosing the vehicle transfer should be prepared for a wait of 10 minutes or more.
Once at the top, riders can select from the marked trails and enjoy repeated downhill runs before returning to the Adventure Station. The trails celebrate Appalachian heritage with names inspired by historic farm equipment, including Hay Baler, Humdinger, and Stump Grinder. Other bike options, including hardtail bikes and e-bikes, are also available at different price points.
The experience includes trail access from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., general Farm admission, and helmet rental, with trails closed from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. Riders must be at least 48 inches tall, wear closed-toe shoes and pants or shorts, stay on marked trails, respect fellow riders, and return all rented equipment after the activity. Personal bikes and helmets require inspection and approval before use.
