We had a great day at sea, and the “pirate ship” itself was a beautiful vessel. The crew was very friendly and welcoming, and the food was genuinely good. However, it was disappointing to see how far there is still to go in terms of eco-tourism. I ended up feeling a bit guilty about taking part. There were around 50–60 boats heading out in a long line to reefs that are already heavily stressed by climate change, overfishing and ocean warming. There was no information or briefing from the diving instructor about how to behave around corals, so guests were unknowingly stepping on and damaging them. There was also no mention of coral-safe sunscreen. In addition, the boats were tied directly onto the reef, with thick ropes rubbing against the coral. Egypt/Sinai has been given an extraordinary natural gift with its marine environment, and it deserves much better protection. Tourism and conservation can coexist. We should all know this, but it requires clear guidelines, education, and responsible practices.

Amaziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing !!!!!!!!!! The boat is really clean All of the staff is amazing; caring and decent. The divers stayed with us all the time; so we were relaxed while snorkeling though not all of us are good swimmers. I highly recommend it; i went to a similar trip in Greece; however this one was way better!!!!!!

Nice and well-organized cruise, with courteous and prepared staff, nice boat, good food on board, good snorkeling, but I would have preferred to stay longer on the beautiful white island. Just one thing, we were with 2 little kids and there wasn't any pirate-themed activity like they said there would be.

There was no children's entertainment, and nobody dressed as pirates like the images suggest. This was such a shame as apart from this, the trip was really good.

During snorkelling i was refused entry to the water because i didnt have a mask (nowhere states you HAD to have one) i explained my daughter aged 5! wanted to snorkel so she had a mask and i was just going in to supervise her as i am a glasses wearer anyway so wasnt snorkelling. Flat out no, unless she wanted to go in and hold a buoy. she was scared to go in alone so missed out on both snorkelling stops. We spent more time getting on and off the speedboat to white island then we did on white island. The kids activites were none existent. Worst of all when i complained, GYG informed me the boat company had said on checking cctv that there was no refusal to enter the water and that she had participated in the kids acitivities which is an outright lie. GYG in fairness were amazing and partially refunded me. i would not recommend this trip with children. Make sure you have a snorkel. most of the staff were lovely and very hardworking, transfers were great but its not worth the money.

I,have been on 6 boat trips over the years in Egypt of various prices , I booked the pirate ship, more expensive than I would usually pay for as I brought my daughter and grandson on holiday, the advert described activities for the children ,dressing up as pirates and entertaining them while you were snorkelling, there was none the only thing remotely to do with pirates was pictures in the lower cabin, also a couple next to us ordered a chopped up melon and a couple of yogurts for their children (£39) they were charged, value for money very poor,I would not book this again .Regards Stephen

Nice boat trip last week. Friendly staff and nice and clean boat. Great snorkeling experience.

We took pirate ship no 4 It was amazing.... The ship staff are very friendly and professional Special thanks to the Chef cooker/Kamal The most delicious food we ever tasted

Very cool time on board Pirates I. The staff is nice, helpful, the food is delicious. The biggest thanks to instructor Mab Rok Ali, who helped me overcome my fear of water.
