Vereda do Fanal Trail Showcases Madeira’s Ancient Laurisilva Forest and Mountain Views

A self-guided hiking experience in Madeira is offering visitors the opportunity to explore the renowned Vereda do Fanal trail, which winds through the island’s UNESCO-listed Laurisilva Forest. Following booking confirmation, participants receive detailed route information before setting out to discover one of Madeira’s most treasured natural landscapes.

The medium-difficulty trail passes through a diverse landscape where open ridgelines alternate with dense native woodland. Ancient laurel forest, vibrant mosses, and lush vegetation create a tranquil setting that highlights the remarkable biodiversity of this protected ecosystem.
