Madeira Diving Experience Explores Garajau Reserve and Sunken Frigate Wreck

A guided scuba diving experience in Madeira introduces participants to one of the island’s most renowned underwater environments, combining marine biodiversity, volcanic seabeds, and historic wreck exploration. The adventure begins at a local dive center, where professional instructors prepare equipment, conduct safety briefings, and introduce divers to the underwater conditions and marine life they may encounter.

After a short transfer by boat, the journey continues toward the waters near Praia do Garajau, offering scenic coastal views en route to the dive site. The main diving area lies within the protected Garajau Natural Reserve, a marine sanctuary known for its clear waters and rich biodiversity.

Underwater, divers explore volcanic rock formations and encounter a variety of marine species, including groupers that are often notably calm around visitors.
