Valencia and Sagunto – Full Day Small Group Shore Excursion

Join us for a full-day tour of Sagunto and the vibrant city of Valencia. We begin with a journey to Sagunto, a town steeped in history, where Roman and Moorish influences are still visible in its streets and architecture. Explore the impressive Roman Theatre, originally built in the 2nd century and once home to 6,000 spectators, now beautifully restored and offering panoramic views of the surrounding cliffs and castle.

Stroll through the historic Plaza Mayor, home to remarkable landmarks such as the Gothic Santa Maria Parish Church with its intricate gargoyles, and the Iglesia del Salvador, Sagunto’s oldest Christian church dating back to the 13th century. Wander the narrow, winding lanes of La Judería, the Jewish Quarter, where charming old houses and preserved architecture reflect the city’s rich past. You'll also discover remnants of ancient Arabic walls that once protected the city.

In the afternoon, we return to Valencia for a comprehensive panoramic drive and a guided walking tour of the old quarter. Visit the impressive Valencia Cathedral, built on the site of a former mosque in 1262, and admire its blend of architectural styles. Continue to La Lonja de la Seda, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a masterpiece of Gothic civil architecture. Explore the ornate Baroque Basilica of Our Lady of the Forsaken before enjoying some free time to take in the city's charm at your own pace before heading back to the port.
