If you want to truly understand Gran Canaria and its way of life, this immersive tour invites you to discover the island’s origins, culture, and natural beauty in a unique and engaging way. Gran Canaria is renowned for its rich historical, archaeological, and cultural heritage and is proudly recognized as a Biosphere Reserve. The journey begins in Maspalomas, where you will receive a picnic bag with a sandwich, fruit, chocolate bar, and water to enjoy during the day. Your first stop is Degollada de la Yegua, offering breathtaking views over the famous valley of a thousand palm trees. From there, you will travel through this stunning valley, passing farmlands and forests while gradually climbing toward the island’s mountainous interior, with several scenic stops along the way for photos and panoramic views.
The adventure continues to Tejeda, one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, where you will have free time to explore at your own pace. You may wander through its charming streets, admire traditional Canarian architecture, visit the church or the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve center, enjoy a coffee with local almond sweets, or simply relax while taking in the dramatic scenery known as the “petrified storm.” The tour then reaches Pico de las Nieves, the highest point on the island, offering spectacular 360-degree views that include Roque Nublo, Roque Bentayga, Maspalomas Dunes, and even neighboring islands on clear days. Descending through the eastern side of Gran Canaria, you will encounter contrasting volcanic landscapes and stop at Caldera de los Marteles, an ancient volcanic crater rich in unique flora. The day concludes with a visit to Agüimes, a lively village full of color, culture, and local charm, before returning to Maspalomas, completing a memorable journey through the heart of Gran Canaria.
