Five-Lesson Surfing Program Develops Skills from Fundamentals to Advanced Techniques

This five-lesson surfing program is designed for surfers who want to build confidence and progressively develop their abilities across a wide range of surfing techniques. Through a structured series of lessons, participants learn essential skills such as trimming and turning, paddling out effectively, and catching and riding unbroken waves. Each session lasts two hours, providing ample time for practice, improvement, and personalized instruction in a supportive learning environment.

As participants progress through the program, they are introduced to more advanced techniques including duck dives or turtle rolls, angled take-offs, bottom turns, and S-turns. The course is carefully structured to help surfers build upon previously learned skills while gaining greater control, confidence, and understanding of wave dynamics. This gradual progression makes the program suitable for those looking to move beyond the basics and further refine their surfing performance.

Lessons take place at Sandend on the Moray Firth, a popular destination known for its excellent surfing conditions and beautiful coastal scenery. All necessary equipment is provided, including 5mm winter-grade wetsuits, boots, gloves, and hoods to ensure comfort and safety in a variety of weather and water conditions. Lesson schedules are subject to surf and weather forecasts, with alternative times available upon request. Suds Surf School provides professional tuition tailored to each participant’s individual experience level, whether they are beginners, intermediates, or aspiring tube riders. Guests are encouraged to bring towels, swimwear, sunscreen, and warm clothing for before and after lessons. Following booking confirmation, participants receive a code that must be used to schedule the second, third, fourth, and fifth sessions, ensuring a smooth and organized learning experience. Combining expert instruction, quality equipment, and ideal surfing conditions, this program offers an enjoyable and rewarding pathway toward becoming a more capable and confident surfer.
