Dual Museum Field Trip

Students can enjoy an exciting dual museum experience by visiting both Pima Air and Space Museum and the Tucson Military Vehicle Museum in one coordinated trip. During the visit, one group at a time participates in a guided tour at the military vehicle museum while the remaining students explore the air and space museum at their own pace. This structure allows students to experience aviation history alongside impressive ground vehicles in a single educational outing. The guided portion provides focused learning, while the self guided exploration encourages curiosity and discovery across extensive exhibits. The program is offered during the regular season and requires advance coordination to manage group size limits.

Transportation is required between the two museums, as walking between locations is not permitted for safety reasons. Schools may use their own bus or arrange round trip transport through the museum. Chaperone ratios must be followed carefully, and teachers are included in the count. Extra adults beyond the approved ratio may not participate in the guided vehicle museum tour. Backpacks are restricted for students, while in ratio chaperones may carry one bag each. This combined visit offers a dynamic and well organized educational experience across two unique collections.
