Public Tram

The tram tour at Pima Air and Space Museum offers a narrated journey through the museum’s expansive outdoor display area. Guests ride along a scenic circuit covering the eighty-acre grounds and view more than two hundred aircraft, with highlights shared by knowledgeable guides. This non-stop tour provides an engaging overview of the museum’s collection and allows visitors to appreciate the scale and history of aviation in a comfortable and informative format. While pets are welcome at the museum, only service animals are permitted on the tram. The tour does not include the AMARG facility, also known as the Boneyard, on Davis Monthan Air Force Base.

Guests should arrive early to the tram loading area and be prepared for an open-air ride exposed to the elements. The tram requires stepping up a few steps to board, but wheelchair accessible trams are available upon request when tickets are purchased. Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis and cannot be purchased in advance. Private trams are also available for group bookings made within two weeks of the visit. Visitors are encouraged to bring water, sun protection, and comfortable clothing to fully enjoy the outdoor experience. The tour combines education, history, and entertainment, providing a memorable way to explore aviation heritage.
