Vehicle Drive Experience

Take the wheel and experience the thrill of driving an authentic military vehicle through the scenic desert landscape at Pima Air and Space Museum. This hands on adventure begins with required instructional time to ensure safe vehicle operation, followed by guided drive time on the desert track. Participants may choose from a Humvee, Land Rover, or Fire Truck, depending on daily availability. The experience offers a rare opportunity to control a powerful historic style vehicle while enjoying open desert surroundings. Guests and family members are welcome to watch from the designated viewing platform as drivers complete their course.

All participants must be adults with a valid driver license and must sign a waiver before arrival. Museum admission is required separately and is not included in the driving experience. Close toed shoes are mandatory, and sunscreen, water, and a hat are recommended due to desert conditions. No passengers are allowed inside the vehicle during the drive. For safety reasons, staff may take control of the vehicle if necessary. This unique activity combines excitement, responsibility, and unforgettable desert scenery.
