Military Vehicle Rides

Experience the beauty of the Sonoran Desert from the back of an authentic military vehicle at the Tucson Military Vehicle Museum. This exciting open air ride takes passengers along a dirt track surrounded by towering cactus and scenic mountain views. Guests may ride in a classic DUKW, a Deuce and a Half truck, or a Humvee, depending on daily availability. The ride is a continuous experience designed purely for enjoyment of the landscape and the thrill of traveling in a historic military vehicle. It is not a narrated tour, allowing visitors to simply relax and take in the surroundings.

Riders must arrive early for check in at the briefing room located in the gift shop, as vehicles depart promptly at scheduled times. General museum admission is required and must be purchased separately upon arrival. Participants need to be able to step up into the vehicle, as there is no wheelchair accessible option available. Seating is limited and offered on a first come basis. Since the vehicle is open air, guests should prepare for sun, wind, dust, or changing weather conditions. This adventure offers a fun and memorable way to enjoy desert scenery with a unique military twist.
