Aviation Classes

Enhance your school visit with an engaging aviation class led by experienced museum staff at Pima Air and Space Museum. Each session is a hands on learning experience designed for specific grade levels and completed in small collaborative groups. Students explore exciting topics such as Things That Fly, Four Forces of Flight, and the inspiring history of the Tuskegee Airmen. Activities encourage discussion, creativity, and problem solving while connecting science and history concepts to real aircraft on display. All materials are provided, and lessons available online support classroom learning before and after the visit. Each class runs for forty five minutes and space is limited per session.

Chaperone ratios are required for all classes, and teachers are included in the count. Extra adults are not permitted inside the classroom due to limited space and must wait outside. Student group size per day is limited by grade level, and advance booking is required to secure discounted rates. Backpacks are not allowed for students and must remain on the bus, while teachers and chaperones may carry one bag each. Cancellations must be submitted in writing in advance to qualify for a refund.
