Center Rog Workshop Turns Everyday T-Shirts Into Creative Expressions of Ljubljana

Visitors to the textile laboratory at Center Rog can explore the art of design and screen printing by creating their own personalized t-shirts. The “Mix & Match Styles” workshop invites participants to experiment with colors, patterns, and motifs while transforming a simple cotton shirt into a unique piece of wearable art.

The creative process begins in a vibrant studio filled with sewing machines, colorful threads, and materials that encourage imagination. Participants select their preferred designs, arrange them on their chosen t-shirt, and use screen printing techniques to transfer the motifs onto the fabric. With guidance and practical instruction, they gain hands-on experience while developing their own artistic style.

Located in a historic former production hall with a 150-year legacy, Center Rog represents one of the largest creative hubs in Slovenia and the wider region. The building’s industrial past — including its history as a machinery workshop, leather goods factory, and bicycle production site — now lives on through community-focused creative laboratories that welcome the public after training sessions.

The workshop also celebrates Ljubljana’s identity by offering motifs inspired by the city’s character, including Rog bicycles, alpine landscapes, the Ljubljanica River, and abstract artistic forms.
