Often described as the “Image of Paradise,” the Alpine resort town of Bled welcomes you with its emerald-green lake, enchanting island, and a castle perched high on a rocky cliff. This charming blend of natural beauty, rich history, and warm hospitality has captivated visitors for centuries. Once a favored summer retreat for the Yugoslav Royal Family and later President Tito, Bled remains a place where tradition and tranquility meet. After a relaxing drive, you can board a traditional pletna boat and glide across the calm waters to Slovenia’s only island, where a quaint church and the legendary wishing bell await.

A scenic road circles the lake and leads to the medieval Bled Castle, standing proudly for over a thousand years. Once an impregnable stronghold of the Bishops of Brixen, the castle now draws visitors with its museum, demonstrations of old crafts, and sweeping views over the lake and surrounding mountains. Before returning to Ljubljana, you may enjoy a peaceful stroll by the water or indulge in a slice of the famous Bled cream cake, a delightful treat to end the journey..

Of course, the view is great but this place should really rethink its workflow. This was my first time waiting almost 2h for toboggan (and this wasn't the busiest day :] maybe this place's owner should visit other places to see how it should be done). Otherwise would be great experience

This was the last thing we did while in Bled and I'm happy we saved it for the last because it was totally memorable! It's so fun and thrilling. It was my first time in a toboggan so not sure how it goes. We paid for 2 rides, which came out as a great deal, because the first ride was learning it, and on the second, we can totally just enjoy the ride. Highly recommended! Ooh, we bought the printed picture which says €4, but the receipt showed €5. We were already out of the area before I noticed, so that's a bummer.

This place was incredible! So much to do up there such as the adventure trail, the toboggan run and zip lining. The views from the top are worth it alone without the added activities.

Great spot for a photo opportunity overlooking the beautiful lake and surrounding area. Easy to get up there via the cable car (about €6) or you can walk up to the top. You can then toboggan down the hill to the bottom which is quite fun. Plenty of walking opportunities around.

There are more than one trail to Straža Bill above lake Bled. Some are easy, and some are challenging. A challenging route would start at Villa Djurdjica and end at a perfect view point. Other routes could take you to an Adventure Park and other family amusements.
