Private transfer from / to Fiumicino / Ciampino airports

I have been to Rome, Italy twice now from our home in Manchester, England both times flying in and out of Rome, Ciampino Airport aka Giovan Battista International Airport. First time was November 2022 and latest was October 2025, My First visit was a fantastic experience as the Airport is small and we landed and were through Customs in no time and inside the terminal you can book a coach into the centre, Car rental or official taxis outside the exit to the right there is a set fare of €48 from The airport to the centre of Rome/Surrounding areas of Rome. Airport is spotlessly clean, plenty of staff on hand, Very efficient, Fast through Customs and before we knew it we were in a a taxi to our hotel the Occidental Aran Park. Outbound 2022 we got a taxi back to the Airport again this was a set fare of €48, We had checked in online and headed straight through Security(We always recommend Fast Track Security), Again we breezed through Security and Customs and before we knew it we were in the departure lounge where there is a Mcdonalds, Duty Free store, Sandwich shops that serve salads, Beer, Wine, Soft drink, Sandwiches etc. Inbound October 2025 again we flew into Ciampino Airport and again super easy to navigate Customs and again before we knew it within minutes we were at the Official Taxi rank and again it was €48 to the centre of Rome(You can pay cash or card but most prefer cash) to our Airbnb in Monteverde. Outbound we checked out of our Airbnb and booked a taxi through ITTAXI APP(Its the official taxi app for Italy) again it came to €48 but the driver wanted cash i only had €40 so he took the cash, Again we had checked in online and we had Fast track through Security again within minutes we had cleared Security and we were in the departure lounge(There are only 2, A and B) again you there is a duty free shop, Mcdonalds, Sandwich shops etc and when you get through to departure lounge A or B there is ample seating along with USB and USB C charging points along with european plug sockets to charge laptops, Phones, Tablets, smart watches etc. Again plenty of staff on hand, Airport is spotlessly clean, Very efficient and easy to navigate, If you are flying out from Departure lounge B just know there are no toilets once you pass through the E-Gate and you only have vending machines for snacks, hot and cold drinks etc. Again departure was super smooth, Polite and friendly staff only issue was a 2 hour delay due to Frencg Air Traffic Control strikes(As we had to pass over France) but it happens. 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ I post alot of reviews on Google and I always give my honest opinion on everything from food, cleanliness, drink, Service, value for money, setting, ambience etc and I have over 40,000,000+ views on Google alone. I have reviewed everything from Locally to me and my Wife in Manchester to travelling around going for food with my Wife locally and internationally to travelling around the country watching my Beloved Oldham Athletic to day trips and holidays with my Wife etc. I have reviewed everything from Restaurants to bars to beaches to beach clubs to taxis to airports to flights to beauty treatments to Barbers to hotels to Churches to Basilica to shooting ranges to hair dressers to Football stadiums etc. From Manchester to Split(Croatia), Hvar(Croatia), Supetar(Brac, Croatia),Rome(Italy), Vatican(Italy), Bezier Cap d'Agde(South of France), Montpellier(South of France), Podgorica(Montenegro), Budva(Montenegro), Tirana(Albania), Sarande(Albania), Ksamil(Albania), Krakow(Poland), Zakopane(Poland) and Santa Maria, Sal(Cape Verde).

Campino is surprisingly straightforward to navigate and, in fairness, one of the easier airports to use in Italy. Check-in and general passenger flow were smooth, with minimal queuing at both the entrance and the gates. It’s compact, efficient, and you’re never left wandering miles between areas, which makes the whole process feel less chaotic than many larger airports. Security, however, was another story. My perfectly ordinary 75ml deodorant — which had already travelled from London to Rome without issue — was suddenly treated like contraband on the return journey. The staff member handling it was unbending, uninterested, and determined that it wasn’t going any further. Into the bin it went. Watching a £20 product get tossed away felt like a theatrical waste; I may as well have set fire to the money myself. The interaction left me feeling more like a suspect than a passenger, which is never the tone you want to start a flight with. To be fair, if I were working in airport security all day I’d probably be a touch grumpy too, but the whole thing was unnecessarily stern for something so trivial. Outside of that hiccup, the airport is efficient and easy to get through — just don’t expect any leniency if your toiletries are even a whisper above the limit.

It is easy to use the Ciampino Airlink service to get in and out to Roma Termini. It is very affordable. Taxi costs around €30. The airport is not too big, so the traffic isn’t bad. It didn’t take long for us to get through security check and immigration. Also the Ryanair check in didn’t take long. The toilets are very clean here and very tap provides tap water. There are McDonald’s, different deli shops here. They are def more expensive than in the city. There are quite some ATMs/cash points around. One is from Unicredit group so I don’t think it will charge ATM fees like EURONET. The immigration officials are very nice, especially the one from the UK. It would be even better if they could provide some child facilities.
