It’s a good place to revere a basket of underrated German painters that pioneered the Renaissance. It’s especially great to see for philosophy lovers who will likely see those paintings as a match to the altitude of the most classical of German thinkers. Surprisingly, it’s also a place where the reviewers can basically see that the emotional currents in the paintings by the German painters had gone the more turbulent the closer was the painted date to the breakout of World War One (according to the exhibition on the ground floor). In the paintings in 1400s, the atmospheres were construed as felicitous but since later 1800s, the canvas stokes went apparently dis-mannered and the rapport between the audience and the vista of the painting got wildly discarded but it was used to be tendered and romantically addressed in earlier ones, as if the painters with their contemporaries had collectively gone crazy. You will need to spend at least 2.5 hours to look at these gallery collections get to the intuitive feeling. And it’s suggested that you start from the early altar paintings and devotional ones and then gradually move onto the modern ones which give off a literally more littered feeling, as if the sculpture was dispelled leaving behind a void which sensuality cannot quite fill in as modernism attempted to do so…

More than a century in the making and what started as a private collection of the Wittelsbach family, now stands as one of the best art museums in the world. Alte Pinakothek is a heaven for art lovers and a place where time is moving slower. You get to enjoy every painting, room by room and floor by floor. We took advantage of the Sunday ticket and for 1€ you can't beat this experience. Highly recommend to visit this museum any day, in fact. Painters such as Van Gogh, da Vinci, Monet, Manet and Klimt await everyone to discover another world within these walls. You can't get bored here and can easily spend a couple of hours to feel like you've stepped in another time.

It is an amazing and huge museum. Lots of different chambers with different artists and motives. Their inventory is amazing, with German and other European Artists. I was stunned that there is no barrier between you and the art itself, you can see the details really close!! There are amazing art pieces from Raffael, Gaugin, Cezánne, Degas, Van Gogh, Rodin.... I went on a Sunday, which was a really good activity since most of places in the city are closed and on Sundays everyone pays only 1€ to get into the museum. I spent around 2 hours there but I can tell that I didn't really stopped to observe all the art pieces. I could have spent more time!!! Its a really nice activity, I'd definitely recommend.
