This was my second stay at Grand Park Royal Cozumel. My first experience was very positive, which is why I chose to return. Unfortunately, this visit was deeply disappointing, particularly when it came to service. I was told there has been a change in management, and while I can’t say for sure if that was the cause, the overall experience felt noticeably below the standards I remembered. One example was being refused alcohol service at 5:40 PM, despite the bar officially closing at 6:00 PM. Situations like this set the tone for the stay. The food quality was also below expectations and did not align with what I experienced during my previous visit. Considering the price I paid for a single night and how good my last stay was, this experience was a major letdown. Sadly, it did not live up to the reputation the resort had built during my first visit.

We had a fabulous stay for 2 weeks this past month. From crazy games, volleyball, karaoke, drink and food classes, daily zoomba in annd by the pool and a foam party o n Christmas to the entertainment every evening there was always something to do! We stayed in an Ambassador Suite and the room was well done and our room attendant was amazing we loved the balcony for my early morning coffees from the cafe. The funtastic team was phenomenal and each one seemed to know your name by the end of the first few days. They made my daughter’s days so exciting and she loved kids club. Food was wonderful and something different every night. Seemed to be long waits for the Italian restaurant but we always found something delicious at the other restaurants or buffet. Only thing I wish they had more of was seating by the pool and beach, if you aren’t an early riser it could be hard to get seating on the beach or the pool by the snack bar but that’s not unique to this resort but every resort or cruise I’ve been on and really don’t ruin our days (we always found something) Reflecting back, I think this was a very memorable place and we enjoyed our time and can’t wait to visit this resort again

The staff at the resort were friendly. The food was not good at all. You are also very limited. The rooms are ok. The shower does have hot water and good water pressure. As a member there were no perks at this resort so if you are looking into taking advantage of your membership pick another place. We tried to make the best of it. Would not come back

Stayed in the oceanfront villa. And it was gorgeous (see pics). The room came with a butler, beach access was outside my door, and room service breakfast was good. The room a/c didn't work consistently, bathroom shower needed to be unclogged, and the room kept an unpleasant scent due to the unclogging. The food was okay and varied enough for us to be pleased with the experience after 7 days. Would be back despite maintenance flaws. The staff was nice, and the beach was shallow, clean, and empty. The villa came with reserved cabanas and drink service on the beach. Definitely recommend for good value for money.

Update Dec 11 - Special thanks to Maria for excellent bar service ALL week long! Never a dry glass. Also thank you Fernanda at the Royal Member front desk who answered daily questions, and Marianna at the buffet for daily smiles and helping us to practice spanish. Finally Edith in the coffee shop is the first person we see everyday, she is so sweet and remembers our orders every day!! Love this resort. We have been coming here for 15 years. Our host Armando is the best!! Great meal for members . 3 December 2025 Jesus and Jaun(ito) offered GREAT service. The food was excellent. Loved the crema Duo Sopa!!
