This place was amazing ! For the money we paid it was so worth it. The staff were really kind and even allowed us to stay as long as we wanted. I would recommend going when it rains as it’s super quiet. I’ve swam with turtles before , but to be in cave as well was unreal!
It’s a nice place but since it’s very touristic it’s filled with people. The turtles can bite but you can just gently pushed them down and away to avoid them hurting you
Good experience, however unsure if the turtles who are in the cave truly are sick/injured and re released back into the wild as the tour guide explained. One very big sea turtle in a segregated part of the cave and not seen moving a lot - I was quite concerned that this turtle was depressed. If this sanctuary does as it says then I’m all for it, however I really hope that they are not just catching healthy turtles and bringing them here for money. The plus side is that these turtles are a lot less harassed by humans as it is a very quiet cave in comparison to saalam, which I would avoid as very unethical.
