We had a great tour guide who showed us trails without people but with a lot of red monkeys. I liked that this visit was very respectful to animals: no feeding or touching, we just observed the wild life. Baby monkeys are naturally curious and tend to come quite close to people, but they are very friendly and didn’t touch us, just wanted to see us closer.

This was a very pleasant visit. The Red Colobus Monkeys, found only in Zanzibar, are fascinating to watch as they move through the trees. They are used to visitors and can be seen at close range. We also visited the mangroves, which, even on a short tour, offered a good insight into the local ecosystem. Our guide was kind and informative.

$12 entrance fee for the shortest route. We had a guide who answered all our questions. The park is protected, and there’s a respectful interaction with the monkeys. The guides take care that touristis keep distance and preserving their natural habitat. All in all, a great experience, not a tourist trap, and definitely money well spent on a UNESCO World Heritage site. We recommend visiting in the afternoon and taking the small tour.

This is small forest that we can see the Blue and Red Monkey 🐒 which are one if the rarest spices in the world. There are lots of things to see like Mangrove trees Red, white and black. Crab 🦀 red and black. Different types of trees and some animals.

Saw very cool red colobus monkeys, who can only be found in Zanzibar. They don't mind taking pictures at all. It was quite cool to take a walk down the trail. The forest is all built over corals! Very green. Interesting plants and trees that have medicinal values, well, most of them. The tour guide was very informative.
