This terminal is really beautiful. It gives more of an airport-terminal feeling even though you’re taking a ferry from here. It’s one of the best experiences to take a ferry from Hong Kong to Macau. It’s a short one-hour to one-hour-30-minute ride. Highly recommend experiencing this.

We were at Ibis Sheung Wan and the Hongkong Macay Ferry terminal was just at walking distance. We reached in the morning around 9.10am and quickly got our tickets for the 9.30am Turbojet ferry. Bought at the counter. Immigration checks were done in HKG and in Macau both. Remember both are different countries. For Indians you must carry your Hongkong PAR with you. No seats are assigned at the time of issuing the tickets. The seats are assigned just before boarding when they scan and check the tickets. Very convenient I would say.

Had tried the free ride from HK to Macao. Its really simple, once you have the ticket ready, just show inside and your ready to board either ferry or bus. Best try both for experience.

A well managed and clean ferry terminal with 2 operating carries, turbojet and cotai. Both go to different ports so be sure which one you are going to and book accordingly. Unless it's a Sunday or special holidays such as Chinese new year, booking in advance is not recommended. Just book once at the terminal at just 30 minutes ahead will do.

Efficient and convenient booking process—you can book online or walk in to buy tickets. The facility is well managed and clean. Although most of the staff can’t speak or understand English, I didn’t have a hard time because they have signages, labels and instructions in English posted everywhere. Also, immigration process only takes less than a minute. This is the fastest way from Hong Kong to Macau.
