One of the worst airports in case of night connecting flights. There is nothing work on 4th floor. And there are all departure flights. There are no comfortable seats in the waiting area. No inquiry at night. Big empty space without people. Sometimes looks like real horror. Especially, if you visit Asian hole toilet. Also there were different information about my flight at different scoreboard. Non-friendly registration system. No advertisments in common area. I see airports in Russian outback much better than this

September 2025 5* Visited on my business visit for flight to Brussels with change at Beijing. There are not many international flight from the airport so you will need to collect your bag at interchange airport and submit again. The airport is quite big and has many airlines mainly domestic. The food court is big and you have some international food chains like KFC and McDonald. Really loved nice baggage trolleys and looks so cute. Completely digital with screen. Security check can take sometime as they check id but it was quite quick. Airport is connected with Line 10 so you can take express line from the city and reach in 30 mins. The place is fully accessible and has accessible entrance.

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport certainly stands out as one of the larger regional airports I have visited. It handles a good number of domestic and international flights, including several direct connections from the Middle East. This makes it a significant hub for travelers in the region. I appreciated the clear signage throughout the airport, particularly the helpful indicators estimating walking times to baggage claim. This small detail made navigating the larger terminal much less stressful. The restrooms were consistently decent and clean, which is always a welcome relief during travel. However, I did notice that the lighting in many areas of the airport was a bit dim. Brighter illumination would definitely enhance the overall experience and make it feel more modern and inviting. Despite this, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport serves its purpose well as a busy and generally efficient airport. It provides the necessary services for a smooth journey.
