I’ve been traveling for over 3 years non-stop and have had tours all around the world, no one compares to Asad. He’s beyond knowledgeable about history (not just Central Asia) and he explains it in a very engaging, interesting way. His English is top notch. On top of all that, he’s a really good person - honest, sincere, funny and friendly. I just wish I was in the area longer to spend more time with him.

Asad made my time in Samarkand absolutely wonderful. He was professional, fun, flexible and he knows Uzbekistan so well. I really liked how we worked together on our two day schedule. He took my desires into consideration as he planned our touring. We made an excellent day trip to Bukhara where he led me to see all the key sites. He is passionate about his home city of Samarkand and it shows with his enthusiasm and knowledge of this amazing place. I like to do a lot of self guided walking - Asad was happy to help me plan some time on my own that really worked out nicely. He kept all promises and communicated constantly. He took me to a couple of restaurants that I really enjoyed including a special halal restaurant that was locals only. Excellent experiences. Highly recommend

Me and my friends managed to catch Asad whilst in Tashkent during August 2025. What a wonderful guy! Asad was super friendly and agreed to give us a free tour around some of the main sights in the Uzbeki capital. He was very knowledgeable about the history of his country and is super down to earth, making us laugh on more than a few occasions. I'll keep him in my contact list for my future travels to Uz and even Tajikistan. If you're not sure how to plan your stay (especially in Samarqand/Bukhara/Tashkent) consider giving Asad a call. Rahmat, friend-o!👌

My friend and I were struggling to organise a two-day trip to the seven lakes (Tajikistan) from Samarkand but thanks to Asad we were able to do it. Indeed, it turned out to be one of the best trip experiences of our lives. First of all, he speaks fluent English, which is not straightforward to find in Uzbekistan (yes, even for a tour guide). Born and raised in Samarqand, he has also travelled the world and lived abroad, which gave him a better insight to carry out his job. He is also kind and passionate about what he does. His story telling abilites are superb, and at the same time he respects your space and is also interested about what you have to say (if you do, of course). We enjoyed his company so much... Looking forward to meet again mate!
