California CCW Classes

This California CCW course provides comprehensive instruction for anyone seeking a concealed carry weapons permit in the state. All California CCW permits are valid statewide and reviewed individually by the local Sheriff’s office. The course is approved to teach by the San Mateo County Sheriff Department and guides students through the complete application process. The program includes 2.5 hours of California law review followed by a written test, as well as training in the tactical use of firearms and survival techniques. Students gain hands-on experience using simulated Glock airsoft guns in heavy duty confrontation scenarios to practice safe and effective firearm handling. In addition, the course provides instruction on California laws related to firearms, personal safety, and responsible gun ownership.

After completing the course students submit all necessary paperwork to the Sheriff of their county. It is then the Sheriff’s decision whether to issue a CCW permit. Students must show proof of completing a basic pistol certification course or complete a mandatory two day sixteen hour course if they have not done so. Range fees and ammunition are paid by students, typically ranging from twenty to forty dollars.
