This three hour catamaran navigation departs from Ushuaia and explores the legendary Beagle Channel following the route sailed by Charles Darwin in the nineteenth century. Along the way travelers enjoy views of the city waterfront including the former prison and the End of the World Museum framed by the dramatic Cinco Hermanos and Mount Olivia landscapes. Guided commentary throughout the cruise provides insight into local history geography and wildlife at the southern edge of Patagonia.
The journey includes a stop at the Bridges Islands where guests disembark for a short guided walk to explore archaeological remains left by native populations who once inhabited the islands. The cruise then continues toward the iconic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse passing shipwreck remains and wildlife rich islands such as Lobos Island with sea lions and Pajaros Island filled with seabirds. This experience blends navigation history wildlife observation and light walking into a memorable Patagonian adventure.

I loved this place. How nice can a 200 mte walk be?

The island sits right in the Beagle Channel and is usually included in navigation tours, but it truly deserves its own spotlight. Our guide explained that Isla Bridges is part of the Bridges Archipelago, named after Reverend Thomas Bridges, one of the early settlers who worked closely with the Yamana (Yahgan) people. You can still find traces of their ancient shell middens along the trails, which makes the island feel like a small open-air museum of indigenous history. Walking the marked paths was peaceful and surprisingly easy. We passed moss-covered rocks, tiny lenga trees twisted by the wind, and panoramic viewpoints where you can see all the way across to the Chilean side. My favorite moment was standing at the top lookout while an albatross glided right past us—completely effortless, like it owned the place.

Beautiful view!!! Our boat made a quick stop there, for about 25 minutes. Quick little trail.

This area is in Ushuaia, Argentina this island is called Puerto Karelo. I was taking a cruise, and one of my excursions was a 3 hour catamaran trip. Amazing views from start to finish. I loved everything about this trip. I'll include additional photos from my excursion.

This is a beautiful little island where the Beagle Channel cruise makes a short stop. You can step out and venture. With crystal clear water, beautiful pebble stones and Ushuaia city in the backdrop this is an idea photo stop.
