The trip begins with stunning views as you leave the town of El Calafate, heading towards Lake Argentino and its Redonda Bay. Along the way, you can spot a variety of birds, including black-necked swans, flamingos, steam ducks, coots, and upland geese. Upon reaching Los Glaciares National Park, you will be greeted with a panoramic view of the magnificent Ghiacciaio Perito Moreno, one of the most iconic natural attractions in Argentina. After a brief stop for photographs, the journey continues to Puerto Bajo las Sombras, where you will board a boat for a one-hour navigation along the southern arm of the Canal de los Témpanos, offering different perspectives of the impressive glacier wall.
Returning to the port, the tour continues to the footbridges area, which features a network of walkways and observation points that provide access to various viewpoints of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Visitors can explore the glacier up close, admire the enormous ice formations and occasional ice calving, and take plenty of photographs. After some free time for walking and an optional lunch, the tour concludes with the return trip to El Calafate, leaving participants with unforgettable memories of one of the most spectacular glaciers in the world.
