The rolling hills of Villamagna, just a short distance from the Adriatic Sea and close to the Majella Madre, offer an exceptional environment for cultivating grapes of distinctive character. The local winegrowers have long committed themselves to preserving the unique identity of their land, choosing to focus on quality and tradition rather than mass commercialisation. Their vineyards reflect centuries of knowledge and passion, where each vine is nurtured with care and attention. Visitors to Villamagna are welcomed into a world where history and dedication are captured in every bottle of wine, offering a rich sensory experience for tourists, tasters, and curious travellers alike. The tour of the vineyards highlights essential technical aspects of viticulture, including soil management, vine training methods, cultivation techniques, and careful control of yields, providing an in-depth understanding of the careful practices that underpin the production of exceptional wines. Guests gain insight into how tradition and innovation combine to maintain the authenticity and character of Villamagna wines.
The journey continues with a visit to the winery, where production strategies and techniques are explained in detail. Participants are introduced to the fundamental concepts of winemaking, allowing them to appreciate the rationale behind the producer’s choices and the intricacies of transforming grapes into fine wine. The tour includes an exploration of the cellar’s history, illustrating the evolution of wine production in the region and the legacy of generations of dedicated winemakers. The experience culminates in a wine tasting workshop where guests are guided through basic sensory analysis and tasting techniques. This phase emphasizes the relationship between wine and food, allowing participants to experiment with hot and cold culinary pairings and test their own hypotheses. Through careful guidance, visitors learn to recognize aromas, flavors, and textures, developing a deeper understanding of how wine complements cuisine. The experience offers not only knowledge but also a profound appreciation for the artistry, passion, and culture that define the wines of Villamagna, leaving guests with a lasting connection to the land and its heritage.

Antonio

Small, very modern winery in a quiet location. We'd previously tried the bulk wines in the bib packaging at a trattoria and, finding them pleasant, we went to the winery to purchase them. White, red, or rosé for €11/bib.

Beautiful house, good wine!

What can I say? A guarantee of good wine. Refinement and quality of the product from the vineyard to the bottle. We visited the cellar on a random day, unannounced, and found it clean and exceptionally dedicated. But words are of little use; the products themselves are enough to translate everything into a top-quality sensory journey. Thanks to Carlo, who welcomed us like family, explaining all the processes and the work that goes into every bottle of their line. Highly recommended.

Pleasant discovery during the 2023 summer holidays. I will definitely come back to fill my trunk!!!!!!

Tasting evening hosted by Andrea at Salumerì Pescara. The bubbles and the roast are unmissable. Congratulations.
