We love Valle Del Sole - great wines, lovely people, and always go there when we are at house near Lucca. We recommend all of our rental guests to come here for tastings and to buy the wines. We always get 5 star reviews from our guests so I don’t recognise the recent negative reviews at all and suggest you ignore them and visit Valle del Sole!

Attended a recent wine tasting with family and friends on day 2 of a wedding celebration. Appalling customer service. From the moment we arrived there was no welcome greeting, and we were faced with two cold shoulders for the remainder of the event. The tables were laid out very nicely with glasses and some plates and bread. That was the height of our good experience. There was no explanation that we were to keep said glasses for the whole event. The staff became annoyed as people moved glasses around. Communication was very bad throughout the whole event. There were 2 young kids in attendance with us, no soft drinks or juices offered to them. The staff were annoyed that kids were running around, cutting short their explanations of each wine because they were playing with the foozball table located in the venue. Why have this for kids entertainment when you do not want it to be used? There was also baby changing facilities but no baby chairs. When queried on the style of fermentations by one of the guests, the staff would not explain cutting short conversation. Water on the table was empty and not topped up although it was sweltering outside. There was tiny croutons of bread with two types of olive oil placed on the table, both on their own plates and very far apart meaning people were having to stretch and walk around to get pieces. The staff stood at the bar for the whole event other than topping up the 4 wines that were very average. At the end of the event the bride was told she was unable to to use the toilet facilities and to wait 15mins for the toilet to be cleaned before she could use it although the two staff stood cleaning glasses for that time. Our group and two people on the balcony were the only ones in the places so why would this matter. When the bride told them she could no longer hold it, the staff argued with her and told her she was "disgusting". I feel sorry for what I believe was the owner going by in his little tractor with trailor filled with grapes who waved and beeped his horn for the kids. I would really rethink my staff after this experience.

Very warm greeting with an unprompted bottle of water after a long walk. Thank you! Interesting tour of the production area. Beautiful terrace for the tasting with the wines explained well and the accompanying snacks were excellent. My only negative is that the price to buy wine to take away was significantly higher than that we found in local Lucca shops the next day

Fantastic is the adjective that fits best here Fantastic wine estate Fantastic wines Fantastic view Some friends and I arrived near closing time. Fortunately, the super friendly woman still let us taste some delicious wines. These already went straight to my head but that didn't stop me from ordering another bottle. Needless to say, we had to stock up. Also bought a bottle of olive oil. Ideal for knocking back these bottles with the olive oil trick.

On discovering Ébrius at a local Lucca restaurant we visited to try all the wines and have lunch for my birthday. The wines, service, location and food were all beautifully authentic. We purchased 12 Ebrius to send back to Australia even though posting wine from Italy to Australia is crazy expensive (we love the wine that much). We drink a lot of wine, and visit a lot of wineries, this place is a stand out.
