Nestled in the rolling hills near Lake Trasimeno, just a short distance from the historic city of Perugia, this family-run winery offers a remarkable wine-tasting experience that showcases the best of Umbrian tradition and modern innovation. For over a century, the family has dedicated themselves to the cultivation of vines, olives, and grains, all with a profound respect for nature and the land. The estate, spanning 12 hectares, has been passed down through generations, each committed to producing wines that honor the region’s rich agricultural heritage while embracing sustainable practices.

The winery produces a wide variety of exceptional wines, from reds like Merlot, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon to whites such as Grechetto, Chardonnay, and Trebbiano Toscano. The vineyards are meticulously cared for, with an emphasis on organic farming methods that reflect the unique terroir of the region. Guests are invited to stroll through the sun-drenched vineyards, where they can immerse themselves in the beauty of the land and witness firsthand the care that goes into each grape. The estate’s historic barrel cellar, where wines age in French oak barrels, adds to the authentic experience, offering a glimpse into the meticulous winemaking process.

During the wine-tasting experience, visitors can savor six different wines, thoughtfully paired with local specialties such as bruschetta drizzled with the estate’s own olive oil, as well as a curated selection of regional cheeses and cold cuts. This personalized tasting allows guests to experience the depth and character of the wines while enjoying the tranquil ambiance of the countryside. Available daily, this unique experience provides a chance to explore the world of Umbrian winemaking, learn about sustainable viticulture, and appreciate the stunning beauty of Lake Trasimeno and its surrounding hills.

The winery itself is beautiful, the wine is good, and the food was tasty. We had a lovely time and the service was pleasant for most of our visit. However, the entire experience was ruined when we received the bill. One person in our group did not drink any wine, and we were shocked to see they charged him €20 just for the food platter. This means they value the small platter for two people at €40. For what you get, this is absolutely not worth the money and the value is terrible. When we questioned this, they told us this is their policy and "this is how we charge children too." This policy feels completely unfair and left us with a very bad taste in our mouths. Despite the nice setting, we unfortunately cannot recommend this place.

Quick response to our email enquiry, different options depending on price points provided, we went for the light lunch option, excellent and informative tour prior to lunch provided by Emma with an option of different languages as well as an explanation why each vineyard was planted where it was, the different grape varieties, terroir and then in the cellar about the different wines, varieties and production techniques and materials, the new tasting rooms provide beautiful views down to Lake Chiusi but the real highlight was the wines, beautiful crafted, great expressions of their terroir and a great credit to the winemaking team, look forward to returning for a picnic and some local street food - a great experience and Thankyou for looking after us so well.

Went to the Madrevite winery today. Everything was so nice. Elena explained everything well. The wines were quite good and also affordable. We had the wine tasting and platter of what they produce there with various meats. It was very tasty. We bought wines. I bought olive oil. Excellent experience. Highly recommend.
