They told me that this would be a fun summer picnic! There were thousands upon thousands of people, looking tough and disciplined. The worst part, upon reaching the beach, we were met with gunfire from bunkers! I remember my friends all dying, it was madness! And the sounds of planes and salvos didn’t make it better. Would not recommend! 😡

Awesome experience and went to pay our respect to the American boys buried at Normandy! Young Men who died for this world’s freedom!

Visited Normandy Beaches and cemetery where British and commonwealth troops landed. A sombre occasion. Looking at the graves and seeing the age of some of the soldiers who died was quite emotional some as young as 16 yrs old. When you see the world today with all the conflicts, I wonder what was their sacrifice for. That includes lives lost from both sides friends and foes alike. I did not take any photos of gravestones as thought that too personal.

The bloody scene of Operation Overlord on 6 Jun 1944…salute to the brave hearts who laid down their lives there

A nice day tour. The tour bus was more for the "American" sides in the World War's, however this is still "a must do" Tour - for those who want to view the reality of who fought in both the 1st and 2nd World War's 🇺🇲 🇦🇺 🇫🇷 🇩🇪
