I visited with a tour group and we got the guided tour around the zoo led by the wonderful Vállju! We arrived at 11 and the tour ended about a hour later and even though it was a big group of about 30, we could easily hear him with the whisper sets. It was pretty slippery so make sure to hold on to the handrails! We came at a good time where there was a lot of light and most of the animals were awake or easily visible. It was really great seeing the new polar bears from France and Denmark and Vállju shared lots of facts on all the animals while showing us shortcuts so we could see the highlights in the limited time we had. He was also very forthcoming in answering any and all questions we had which really added to the experience. Overall, I had a really fun and enriching time here!

A winter ☃️ experience at the northern most part zoo at Finland! Though some animals might be sleeping or hibernating overall you still can see the polar bear, wild boars etc. The guided tour with hearing aid was useful, and we spend close to 2 hours walking around and understanding the animals behaviour habitats etc. Overall a nice experience though the walkways can be quite slippery due to snow.

We visited the zoo to see the two new polar bears that were brought from Denmark and France. It was an amazing feeling to see them from so close, especially with the beautiful snowfall at the same time. We also saw all the other animals; my other favorites were the reindeer and the wolves. It’s a great zoo and a perfect 2–3 hour program. If you have the chance, you should definitely visit, as this is the only place in Finland where you can see polar bears.

Fantastic experience in this wonderful place. Big parking just nearby. Nice people at the reception and at the restaurant. Good food at the buffet. Clean toilets. Basically all very good! The animals are nice to see and in a clean environment. A place that you should visit for sure.

Ranua Wildlife Park is a must-visit destination in Lapland for anyone interested in Arctic wildlife. The park is beautifully set in nature, with well-maintained walking paths that let you explore comfortably. The highlight of the visit was seeing the majestic polar bear — a rare and impressive sight up close. We also loved observing the arctic fox, incredibly fluffy and active, and the wolves, which were both eerie and fascinating in their naturalistic enclosure. The animals appeared well cared for, and the environment is peaceful, offering an educational and memorable experience for all ages. Highly recommended!
