Moray’s First 18-Hole Disc Golf Course Opens at ACE Amid Rising Popularity of the Sport

A new 18-hole Disc Golf course has officially opened at ACE in Moray, marking the region’s first and most comprehensive facility for the rapidly growing sport. Set within a scenic larch and pine forest, the course offers players of all abilities an accessible yet engaging outdoor activity that blends recreation, skill, and nature.

Disc Golf follows rules similar to traditional golf but replaces clubs and balls with flying discs, or Frisbees. Players aim to complete each hole by landing the disc in a chain-hung basket, with scores based on the number of throws required. The sport’s simplicity and fast learning curve have contributed to its growing popularity worldwide.

The ACE course spans 1,080 metres with a par of 55, offering a technical layout that challenges both beginners and experienced players. The circular route winds through dense woodland, guiding participants away from the base before looping back toward the final hole, which crosses an access road to complete the course.

In addition to the course itself, an on-site disc pro shop provides a wide range of equipment including putters, mid-range discs, and drivers for players looking to improve their game. With flexible pricing options, including day passes and annual memberships, the facility is designed to encourage regular play while promoting an active outdoor lifestyle in a natural forest setting.
