The Enriched Air Nitrox course teaches divers how to safely extend their bottom time using nitrox. Participants complete the knowledge development section online at their convenience, making it easy to fit the course into a busy schedule. After finishing independent study, divers meet with a PADI Instructor for hands-on practical exercises, learning how to analyze a tank, fill out an enriched air log, and set their dive computer for nitrox dives. The course includes two optional dives to practice these skills in the water, giving participants the confidence to dive safely while enjoying longer dive times and reduced nitrogen absorption. The course is open to PADI Open Water Divers or those with qualifying certifications, and requires a minimum age of 12 years. The total commitment is one to two half days, with eLearning taking two to four hours.
While exploring the marine environment, divers will have plenty of opportunities to photograph the stunning corals and marine life, as well as take memorable selfies. Along the way, participants may encounter the local intelligent octopus and admire the breathtaking Ponta Da Piedade cliffs. Diving equipment, manuals, and certification are included, while dive computers, flashlights, and surface marker buoys are not provided. Guests should bring swimming-wear and a towel. The activity is not wheelchair accessible, but accommodations for neurodivergence can be requested, and no early arrival is necessary.
