Engage your senses on a unique 90-minute interactive walking tour of a small, working farm set against the stunning backdrop of Mount Rainier. Faithful Hands Farm is located on the historic site of the former Faith Dairy, once a major milk-producing farm in Tacoma’s history, and spans 116 acres with sweeping mountain views. Although the property is expansive, most of the hands-on activity takes place within five vibrant acres where visitors can truly experience daily farm life. Designed to be educational and engaging for both adults and children, this tour offers insight into what it takes to run a homestead farm, from animal care to growing fruits, vegetables, berries, flowers, herbs, and greenhouse starts grown from seed.
As you move from pasture to pasture alongside the farmer and guide, you’ll meet a wide variety of livestock including cows, sheep, goats, alpacas, pigs, bees, poultry, and livestock guardian dogs, all responsibly raised and well cared for. Guests will have the chance to interact with smaller animals, help feed them, and learn about their role on the farm. Because this is a working farm, each visit is different depending on the season and may include experiences such as collecting eggs, milking goats, seeing baby animals, sampling fresh crops, or exploring gardens in bloom. Led by an experienced educator with years of farming and gardening expertise, this tour offers meaningful learning, memorable photo opportunities, and a deeper appreciation of where food comes from—all while enjoying fresh air and beautiful rural scenery.
