Level 2 Improv Course Focuses on Mastering the Art of the Two-Person Scene

An eight-week Level 2 improvisation course in destination invites participants to deepen their performance skills through an intensive focus on the two-person scene, a foundational element of both short-form and long-form improv theatre.

The program centers on developing strong collaborative storytelling, where simple ideas evolve into fully formed scenes through active listening and shared creativity. Participants learn how emotional triggers, relationships, and point of view can be used to generate engaging and sustainable narrative momentum.

Each three-hour session provides hands-on practice in building scenes from the ground up. Students explore techniques for establishing character dynamics, responding in real time, and using physical space to enhance realism and depth within improvised environments.

By the end of the course, participants are expected to have significantly improved their ability to sustain and heighten scenes, with stronger confidence in reacting, listening, and co-creating with scene partners. The training serves as a key step in developing advanced improvisational ability within the destination improv community.
