Pickup is available from accommodations within Yellowstone and nearby gateway communities such as Jackson, West Yellowstone, and Gardiner, while guests staying in Cody meet at Fishing Bridge. Based on seasonal conditions and your pickup location, your guide selects the most productive waters to provide the best possible fishing experience.

Before entering the river, participants receive a comprehensive introduction covering safety, casting techniques, fly selection, and essential fly-fishing principles. Beginners benefit from patient instruction and hands-on coaching, while experienced anglers can refine their skills with personalized guidance. All necessary fishing equipment and a carefully selected assortment of flies are provided, although guests are welcome to use their own gear if preferred.

Most fishing is conducted by wading through Yellowstone's pristine rivers, targeting a variety of trout species including native Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout, Fine-Spotted Snake River Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, and, on occasion, Lake Trout. The six- to eight-hour outing includes ample time on the water, with a relaxing break for a freshly prepared picnic lunch surrounded by the park's spectacular scenery.

Beyond the fishing itself, guides enrich the experience by sharing fascinating stories about Yellowstone's wildlife, geology, plants, and cultural history. Rain ponchos, snacks, drinking water, boats where appropriate, and all essential equipment are included to ensure a comfortable day outdoors.
