Community Bike Medic Service Introduces Scheduled Drop Off Repair System

A community bike repair program is introducing a structured monthly service model designed to improve efficiency and ensure timely maintenance for all customers. Due to limited availability, riders are encouraged to reserve their spot online in advance, allowing the team to manage demand and prepare for each bicycle service in an organized manner.

The online booking process requires customers to submit essential details, including contact information, a brief description of the bicycle, and any reported mechanical issues. Payment information is collected at the time of reservation to confirm the booking, with full refunds available for cancellations. This advance preparation helps the Bike Medic team deliver consistent and reliable service while keeping the process simple and transparent.

Under the new system, customers are asked to drop off their bicycles at a designated community Bike Medic rack by 10:00 AM or earlier on the scheduled service day. Each bike is tagged for identification, allowing mechanics to efficiently track and manage repairs throughout the day as part of the organized community workflow.

Bike Medics complete all necessary repairs and return bicycles to the rack before 5:00 PM, with customers receiving notification via call or text once their bike is ready. If additional issues are discovered during servicing, the team contacts the customer for approval before proceeding with any extra work or cost changes, ensuring transparency and customer control throughout the process.
