Very nice and informative tour, where you are taken through the full process as well as learn about how the company has developed over the many years and how they work with leaving a low carbon footprint. We had the Lydie as guide, she did a fantastic job in engaging all participants and had a very good energy through out the tour.

Had the most amazing 2 hour tour of the Distillery Bonne-Mere in Saint Rose, established in 1863 as sugar cane/rum producers, where sugar cane came in by local train and then pulled in by hand. Now DBM is the largest distillers of Traditional Rum in the Caribbean, and the ONLY distiller of Traditional Rum in Guadeloupe. Traditional means the rum is made with molasses, which comes from Le Moule, Guadeloupe. Two fantastic guides took us around the entire operation, in a bilingual tour which ended with tastings of 3 rums, plus 2 additional very special $$$ ones at the end. We even got to taste the molasses! Over 60,000 barrels, on 13 hectares of property, where only 3 hectares are used for production. The remaining 10 hectares are left in nature, for it is that love and respect for the environment, that makes their rum extra special. I highly recommend taking this tour! It was so inexpensive 8 euros pp.
